BOTOX INJECTIONS AND ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENT IN BOURNEMOUTH, DORSET
For many years, Botox injections (botulinum toxin) have been a popular minimal invasive cosmetic enhancement choice for both men and women. This procedure involves precise injections into various facial muscles, safely and temporarily relaxing them to smooth and eliminate wrinkles.

WRINKLE TREATMENT AREAS
The common treatment areas that are targeted by anti-wrinkle treatments using Botox injections are the upper third of the face which is categorised into three key zones:
• Between the eyes: Commonly known as "frown lines”
• Forehead: Horizontal lines and wrinkles.
• Around the eyes: In the area known as "crow’s feet.”
ABOUT OUR TREATMENT
We prioritise quality in our anti-wrinkle treatment with Botulinum toxin:
• All Botox injections are freshly diluted and administered with ultra-fine premium syringes
• This approach ensures a less painful injection process compared to subpar needles.
• We do not charge per unit of Botox, and post-treatment top-ups are never an additional cost (top-up is provided 3-4 weeks after the initial treatment if necessary).
• Our professional approach reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality service.
At Aesthetic & Smile in Bournemouth we have a transparent pricing structure which is rooted in our belief of charging for based on the achieved result, emphasising the outcome rather than the quantity of units required.
Furthermore, our commitment to fairness and transparency extends to all our clients, regardless of gender. We maintain consistent pricing for both males and females, ensuring equal and transparent treatment for everyone.
While we generally recommend Botox treatment in all three areas, we understand that not all patients desire wrinkle softening in every zone. Hence, we offer a flexible pricing structure:
• One Area: £200
• Two Areas: £220
• Three Areas: £240 for the best anti-aging results

FAQ
What to anticipate during your procedure:
Botox is administered directly into the targeted muscles responsible for wrinkles, employing a very fine needle. Typically, several injections are necessary, strategically placed depending on the specific area being treated. In cases where Botox is employed to address excessive sweating in the armpits, the injections are precisely directed into the axillary skin. While localised discomfort and bruising may occur, the procedure generally does not require sedation or local anaesthesia. Patients can promptly resume normal activities following the treatment.
What happens after the procedure?
Botox typically starts working 24-72 hours after the injection, and you'll see the maximum effect in about 1 to 2 weeks. The results usually last around 3-4 months. When it's injected into the muscles causing expression wrinkles, it makes your face look more relaxed and smoother. For excessive sweating, the effects can sometimes last longer, around 9-12 months. If you notice the effects wearing off, you can come back for another treatment.
What are the things to keep in mind?
Neurotoxins work well for wrinkles caused by muscle movements, but it doesn't do much for fine lines caused by sun damage or sagging skin. If your lines are deep, you might need several treatments for the best results. Using neurotoxins too often or in large amounts could make your body build resistance to it, and it might highlight any unevenness in your face.
Who should avoid Botox treatment?
Botox should not be used for people with neuromuscular disorders like myasthenia gravis, those taking certain muscle relaxants or antibodies such as aminoglycosides, pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with infections or inflammation at the injection site, and those with bleeding disorders.
Are there any risks?
Severe complications from using Botox for cosmetic purposes are extremely rare. In some cases, there might be temporary side effects, such as:
• Localised pain: Mild discomfort in the treated area.
• Inflammation: Swelling and redness that usually subsides on its own.
• Paraesthesia: A tingling or prickling sensation.
• Hypoesthesia: Reduced sensitivity in the treated area.
• Tenderness: Soreness or sensitivity at the injection site.
• Swelling: Mild to moderate puffiness in the treated area.
• Oedema: Fluid retention causing swelling.
• Erythema: Redness of the skin.
• Itching: Mild irritation or itching at the injection site.
• Localised infection: Rare instances of infection at the injection site.
• Haematoma: Collection of blood outside blood vessels.
• Bleeding and/or bruising: Some individuals may experience minor bleeding or bruising at the injection site.
These effects are generally temporary and resolve on their own as the effects of Botox wear off. If you have any concerns about these symptoms, our 24/7 service is here to assist you.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS FOLLOWING TREATMENT WITH BOTOX®
At Aesthetic & Smile clinic in Bournemouth, Dorset, we provide all customers with a tailored aftercare plan following their Botox treatment. General guidelines to follow as part of your aftercare routine include the following:
• Your treatment with Botulinum Toxin will gradually take effect over the next 7-10 days and will have achieved full effect within 2-3 weeks.
• Do not rub or touch the treated area for 3-4 hours.
• Try to remain upright for 3-4 hours and do not lie down.
• Avoid exercise for 3-4 hours.
• Avoid applying make up to the area for 1 hour. After this apply makeup gently for the next 24 hours using a light dabbing motion rather than a rubbing or spreading action.
• Do not have any facial treatments for 7 days after this as they may cause ‘tracking’ of the Botulinum Toxin to neighbouring areas.
